December 19, 2024. It’s been an exciting year at Dragoon! We’ve been hard at work advancing our hybrid powerplant technology, culminating in the development of several cutting-edge platforms. We’re thrilled to share that our first flights occurred in early 2024.
One of our key developments this year is the Coriolis platform, developed in collaboration with NOAA under our Phase II SBIR program. Coriolis is a high-endurance fixed-wing platform specifically designed to fly into over-ocean weather systems, gathering critical boundary layer meteorological data. Its low-cost design and exceptional range make it capable of reaching nearly any oceanic region from a suitable land-based launch site. See the flight video of the Coriolis below!
